Yes do whatever it takes to make it work if you still love each other. DIVORCE sucks. My ex and I have been divorced 6 years. We try to be stay on good terms for our child but seriously our relationship causes a great deal of stress. Besides no matter who you’re with you have to work at it to make a relationship last. if this is the first time he’s explored his body, i’d say help him learn. buy a book show him the differences. that’s all, their curious, especially if it has never ben explained to him before. doctors have great books on the changing body. don’t be afraid or embarassed to talk about it because if you don’t then he will find someone who will and this isthe chance for you to explain it your way. not someone elses

Of course you should seek counseling. Why wouldn’t you want to? The only thing seeing a counselor could do is make your decision easier regarding staying in or leaving your marriage.

i did this for many, many years, my hands r messed up due to hitting everything. try flexing and releasing all your body muscles mainly your arms and back sitting in a chair helps..deep breaths and counting slow help while doing this..force your mind to be clear except for the counting..took me a while to get my anger under control..still have problems..but, i make myself look at the bigger pic.

Your son and you will get through this.. In these days of reality being so cruel, we forget.. when we were children and life seemed easier, it really was not. We just did not have every arm-chair lawyer trying to take the rest of the world for everything that it has.
Sex ed at 12 seems a little early to most of us, but look at the children today. I have a 16, 12, and 8 year old. I homeschool and still the world gets far too much of them.

It’s hard to say with out the details on the “patch”

Did he hit you? If he did, he will again.
Did he cheat on you? Then he will have to wear a leash until you trust him again, if he is fine with that, go for it.
Was it finances? In-laws? Crumbs on the counter?

Some baggage is heavy and hard to let go of.
After a seperation of 5 months, obviously you both have done some soul searching, and with kids in the picture it is worth every fibre of your being to make it work.
The exception is hitting, men that hit don’t quit. They go into remission.

Yes I think you should try counseling. I don’t know if it really works but you wont know if you don’t try. If you two really love each other and it seems that you do then I think counseling is worth the experience. Maybe you two need to also try dating each other again. NO KIDS! Just husband and wife out on a few dates. Try romancing each other again. You two have alot of history invested in each other.
