Why do girls/women get anger management issues during PMS, anyway?

What causes us to get more easily angered during PMS? Why is it that we just can’t control it? I don’t see why having a period would make us all of a sudden mad. And why is the purpose anyway? Like, you have a period so you can have kids. You have anger management issues during your period so that you can _______???
I get it even before it starts hurting…I don’t think it’s the pain that causes it, at least not for me.

Your hormones fluctuate during your cycle an it’s can affect negatively your emotions. The best thing you can do is be aware of your body and it’s changes and then try to keep the beeeotch under contol. Birth Control pills can affect your emotions too.

It’s because your blood glucose is all messed up and your progesterone is really low at this time. You need to lay off the carbs, even complex carbs and eat more protein — peanut butter, cheese, meat, beans, cottage cheese, etc. No bread, chips, cereal, oatmeal, any grain or flour products, whole wheat or other. You should try and do this all the time at first and then gradually, after maybe a couple months, try adding back in some carbs and see how this affects you.
